WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
There are lots of ways to volunteer with Guilford for All this election season. Let’s elect leaders who put people first!
1. KNOCKING ON DOORS
Face to face conversations are the most effective way to move voters. A first conversation with a new voter can increase turnout by over 300%. When someone takes the time to show up at a door, it cuts through the noise of mailers, texts, and social media. It signals that this election really matters.
We’ve endorsed a strong slate to build multiracial, working-class power in Guilford County and beyond. Now we need your help to get our candidates across the finish line.
We’ll provide training, supplies, and clipboards. You bring your G4A shirt, weather-ready clothes, comfortable shoes, and the energy to make a difference. We canvass in pairs, so you’ll be matched with someone experienced.
Join us at Reclaim NC/Borough Coffee, 204 N Mendenhall St, Greensboro, on Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons for training before heading out.
2. POLL CANVASSING
Poll canvassing is different from door knocking. We’re talking to people who have already shown up to vote. That means they’re likely more politically engaged..
Our window is short, from their car to the “Do Not Campaign” line. Once they cross it, we disengage. So this is fast and focused. Think elevator pitch, not deep conversation.
It’s high impact work. You’re meeting voters at the exact moment their decision matters most. If you want to make a real difference in a short amount of time, this is one of the most effective ways to do it.
We’ll provide you with a script to fit the moment, a location to poll canvass, and the tools you need to help bring our candidates across the finish line.
